OPENING THE FIRST STORE
Meir Roth Ltd. began its journey in 1975, when Zippi and Meir Roth leased a 22-square-meter store and opened a firearms retail business in central Rishon LeZion. For Meir, this marked the fulfillment of a dream, as he turned his childhood hobby into a profession. It was in this first store that the foundations were laid for the high professional standards, integrity, and commitment to customer service that continue to guide the company to this day.
IMPORT OPERATIONS BEGIN
The company completed its first import transaction, marking the beginning of its international trade activities.
STORE EXPANSION
After five years of continued success, the company expanded the store from 22 to 60 square meters by leasing the adjacent space, supporting the continued growth of the business.
NEW FACILITY
In 2002, Meir Roth fulfilled another dream with the establishment of "Meir Roth Shooting Ranges", a company-owned 388-square-meter facility located in the industrial zone of Rishon LeZion, comprising a firearms retail store and two adjacent shooting ranges. The opening of the new facility marked a significant milestone in the company's growth and further strengthened its commitment to serving its customers.
EXPORT OPERATIONS BEGIN
The company completed its first export transaction with a small shipment of used pistols. Since then, its export activities have expanded significantly, becoming one of the company’s key drivers of growth.
NEW GENERATION
In 2007, management of the company passed to the second generation of the Roth family, who took on the responsibility of growing and advancing the business while maintaining the high standards and principles that have guided the company throughout its history.
LEADING IMPORTER AND EXPORTER
The word “Export” was added to the company logo, reflecting the growing importance of export activities, which have become a core part of the business and represent a significant share of its overall operations. After 34 years in the Israeli market, the company has established itself as a leading importer and exporter in the civilian market. Long-term customer relationships, extensive professional experience, and an uncompromising commitment to quality have positioned the company at the forefront of an evolving market and enabled it to significantly expand its international operations.
COMPANY EXPANSION: NEW WAREHOUSE, TRAINING HALL AND ADDITIONAL OFFICES
In 2022, the company’s facilities doubled in size with the opening of a new warehouse, along with additional office and training spaces, as part of its ongoing growth and expansion. Today, the company operates two warehouses certified for the storage of firearms and ammunition, fully compliant with all rigorous standards and regulations. The first warehouse covers 90 m², and the second spans 175 m², for a total of 265 m² of advanced storage space, maintained under the highest professional and safety standards. Furthermore, the company’s state-of-the-art training facility enables the delivery of courses in full compliance with the requirements of the Ministry of National Security, under optimal conditions and to high professional standards.
RENOVATION, UPGRADE, AND EXPANSION OF COMPANY FACILITIES
As part of the company’s ongoing renewal and growth, its facilities underwent a significant upgrade aimed at enhancing the customer experience and improving working conditions for the company’s team. As part of this initiative, a new store was built featuring five individual customer service stations, while the shooting ranges, which are equipped with an advanced ventilation system with a capacity more than 50% above the regulatory requirement, underwent a comprehensive renovation. At the same time, the training rooms were renovated and equipped with advanced technological systems, a dedicated online customer service room was established to provide clients with professional and prompt support, and changing rooms, storage lockers, and a staff kitchenette were added for the comfort of the company’s team.
MEIR ROTH JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS – FIFTY YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
During its jubilee year, Meir Roth Ltd. marked fifty years since its establishment with a series of celebratory events honoring the people, values, and partnerships that have shaped the company over the years. The jubilee celebrations included a special company trip to the Czech Republic, connecting past, present, and future. During the trip, the team shared meaningful experiences and took part in a professional visit to CZ, one of the company’s key partners. The visit reflected the company’s long-standing international relationships and its ongoing commitment to quality and professionalism.
OWNERSHIP TRANSITION
Following the completion of the company’s jubilee celebrations, the transfer of ownership to the second generation of the family was finalized. This milestone marked a significant chapter in the company’s development and helped ensure continuity in its management and business operations. Having led the company’s operations since 2007, the second generation now has full ownership and continues to strengthen the company’s core values, develop the business, and adapt it to the challenges and opportunities of the years ahead.
PRESENT
The company is the exclusive representative in Israel of many of the world’s leading firearms and defense brands, including: Beretta (USA), Benelli, Winchester, Colt, CZ, Fiocchi, Aguila, PMC, ZEV Technologies, Wilson Combat, Staccato, Shadow Systems, Swampfox, Maxim Defense, Phoenix, LaserMax, Weihrauch, Hogue, and Night Fision. In addition, the company is an authorized importer of Heckler & Koch and TRUGLO, and distributes products from other top-tier manufacturers such as GLOCK, SIG SAUER, Smith & Wesson, and others. The company serves as an authorized supplier to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, regulated entities, and some of Israel’s largest security companies. The company is certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
